Trees
Trees have been a big part in reforesting Haiti and our incentives of planting and growing trees contribute to many of the services that farmers have to access to. Since SFA's launching in 2010, over 10 million trees have been planted in multiple areas in Haitian territory. Farmer-members of the organization grew around 1.700.000 seedlings, which were transplanted and later looked after, resulting in more than 1.500.000 trees.

In 2022, farmer-members of the Smallholder Farmers Alliance grew, transplanted and looked after 1,152,300 trees!
Tree Nursery
The reforesting of Haiti begins with seeds from trees that are placed in these nurseries and are carefully maintained until they reach the sapling phase.
Transplanting
After the growing into saplings in the nurs phase, the tree saplings are then moved by farmer-members as shown on the picture on the left.
Final Planting
When moved to designated areas in Haiti, the final process of reforesting Haiti is done by planting the saplings to grow and flourish big and tall all around Haiti.
